Internship Opportunities

Heritage Christian Academy is extending an unique opportunity to
homeschooled high school Juniors and Seniors, as well as college freshman for the 2019-2020 School Year.

We are offering one year internships within our school for students interested
in the fields of education and early childhood development.
​
Interns will be directly overseen by another Charlotte Mason-trained Staff Member, and they'll be able to train alongside our teachers, and gain unique and invaluable insight and exposure into the working of the Charlotte Mason method, early childhood care and development, and elementary school teaching.
Internship Program Details and Requirements

This is a part time position (12 hours per week, beginning late August 2020 and concluding in early June of 2021 and it is a one (school) year commitment.

Occasional additional hours for training and weekly meetings/follow up/mentorship with the school director.

Interns will experience training and teaching in a Charlotte Mason school, and be given the opportunity to plan, prepare and present lessons at the elementary school level following the Charlotte Mason method of education.

Students must have reliable transportation to and from Bethel University in MIshawaka, IN and be available from 8:00am-3pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays OR Mondays and Wednesday for the duration of the school year.

Students must demonstrate maturity, responsibility and commitment, all attributes that they will need in order to pursue work in the education field.

Students must be 17 or older by September 3, 2019

This is an incredibly unique opportunity, as HCA is the first and only
Charlotte Mason homeschool hybrid in the state of Indiana!
